Extended Scallop Adventure

Start the day off by enjoying the classic 4 hour scallop adventure. A trip suited for all ages diving down on a treasure hunt for scallops. Our 5 star captains will teach you everything you need to know, all while providing a fun and comfortable setting.
After the first 4 hours, it is up to you what you would like to do. Option 1 is to continue to scallop for an additional 2 hours. Option 2 is to head to the sand bar, anchor down, and relax. Our sand bars offer a true local experience where you can kick back and enjoy the local scenery and wildlife, go swimming, and reflect on the great day your group had scalloping.

Q: Do I need a fishing license to scallop?
A: Yes. You need a saltwater license, but if you book with us, the license is included under our charter license, so that's one less thing that you will need to do!

Q: How many scallops can I keep?
A: You can keep 2 gallons of whole scallops per person OR 10 gallons per boat, whichever is less.

Q: How do I clean a scallop?
A: Cleaning a scallop is very easy, but it may take some time when you have hundreds of them. At our docks, we have scallop cleaning crews to do the work for you! They charge an average of $6 a gallon and will clean, rinse, and bag them for you.

Q: Where is the best place to go scalloping?
A: Homosassa and Crystal River is scallop country. The hardest part is locating exactly where the best areas are in the Gulf to get an abundance. Our guides are trained and do it everyday so they have the knowledge and history where the prime areas are.

Q: Can I take my boat to go scalloping?
A: Absolutely! Just be cautious of learning the waterways, the laws and the required licenses. Hiring a charter company is a proven way to get the best experience for your money and also not having to worry about damaging your boat on rocks or bringing the equipment needed since we provide everything.
