Don't need to fill up those gas tanks to get to the fish!
You hear a lot of anglers out there complaining about the poor fishing conditions this time of year but for me, it's my favorite time. Using less than 2 gallons of gas, you can putz down to the springs and catch more Snook, Redfish, Sheepshead, mangrove snapper and Jack than you'll know what to do with. Weather is cold but the fishing is HOT!
Strong NE winds, super low tides, freezing air temperatures... where do the fish go? It's simple, to find warmth within the rivers and small creeks. The trick is getting to them and putting the right bait in front of their face. We know that the local springs provide 72 degree water year round so that's a good place to start.
