

We're still fishin', even during scallop season!
With all of the recent scallop madness, we wanted to still ensure everyone that we are reelin' in the fish too! Below are a few pictures from different trips. As you can see we have been catching plenty of reds and grouper this time of year! Mostly we are sticking to live shrimp or mullet chunks for bait! With this hot summer sun, it doesn't really matter if your mullet chunks are frozen or fresh, because the sun will thaw them out in minutes! Even though we are busy shucking

One of our favorite parts of scalloping is the cleaning, or shucking, of the scallops. This is when you essentially get the meat that you eat out, and you are left with 2 scallop shells. As you can imagine, it is pretty easy to accumulate a good amount of these shells. Never Been Scalloping? No Problem!
You may be thinking, "my family has never been scalloping before, so I'm not sure we would be good at it". We want to assure you, our captains will give you all the tools and knowledge needed to be scallop pros! Pictured is one family that we had the pleasure of taking out, who ended up catching their limit in scallops! You sure wouldn't be able to tell this was their first time scalloping out there! All we recommended is that everyone have some experience swimming and snorke


Recap: Opening Day of Scallop Season
Yesterday was the all anticipated opening day for the 2020 scallop season! Our captain went out in the afternoon during low tides. When asked about the day, Capt. Gary stated " the scallops are very plentiful in shallow water, they are in the grass, you just have to dig around". As you can see by the photo, our vessels caught their limit and our guests left with a yummy dinner! We are very excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for us!
